Moretown School offers two classes of combined first and second grade.
Our first and second grade teachers, Lindsey Vandal and Karen Cingiser, will be posting classroom news, updates, and photos to their SeeSaw account.
Hi! I’m Lindsey Vandal and I am so excited to be teaching first and second grade at Moretown Elementary School next year. I grew up in Shelburne and I live in Waitsfield with my husband and two young children, a dog and a cat. Some of my hobbies are mountain biking, skiing, cooking, knitting and hanging out at the river. I have a passion for early childhood and outdoor education and I currently teach “Nature School,” a weekly nature-based preschool program (similar to ECO) at Waitsfield Elementary School. I have a Master’s of Education from the University of Washington and a BA from Middlebury College. I am so grateful to be a new part of the Moretown community, and I look forward to getting to know you all!
I have lived in Warren for over 30 years with my husband Michael, my son Sam, who is 25 and living in Florida, my daughter Sarah, is a senior at the University of Connecticut (where she studied in Florence this past spring and I got to visit her) and our dog Tilly. I love to play tennis, read, walk, and hang out in my garden. This is my 30th year teaching. I spent seven years teaching 3rd and 4th graders in Brookfield then came here to Moretown, where I taught 5th and 6th graders, 3rd and 4th graders, and now, 1st and 2nd graders.
