Bobcat Bulletin v.15, 24-25

December 6, 2024

We hope that all of our Moretown families enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday and were able to gather despite the weather.  I enjoyed some extra outdoor time with my family and was grateful to be able to stay home while still sharing in a lovely meal with my extended family.

Now that we have been blanketed with snow, sledding is well underway!  Please be sure to send students with snowpants, warm coat, boots, hat and mittens/gloves each day so that they can participate in all outdoor activities.  Sledding seems to be a high preference activity for most students!

Looking ahead to the winter break, please make note that Friday, December 20th will be an early release day for students with an 11:30 dismissal.  Dismissal procedures will operate as usual with the bus riders dismissed first and car line dismissed as the buses leave.  Please continue to stay in your car if you remain in the car line or park if you intend to get out.

This weekend brings the annual Moretown Artisan's Fair and the River of Light Parade.  Our students and art teacher Heather O'Hare have been working hard preparing their "critters and creatures" lanterns for display at the parade on Saturday evening.  See below for more information on both the River of Light Parade and the Artisan's Sale.

No matter who you ask, the talk around school has been focused on the Book Fair.  Mrs. Willard has transformed the library to design a book fair that is welcoming for all with materials available for young readers at all stages.  Mrs. Willard has told me that she has kept some materials on "reserve" for exclusive sale at the Artisan's Fair tomorrow- I hope you check it out! The Book Fair officially closes Saturday afternoon.

I look forward to seeing many of you this weekend.  We look forward to welcoming our students back on Monday morning.

Ms. Kate
