Bobcat Bulletin v.35

May 10, 2024

Thank you all for the time you spent this week appreciating our teachers and staff.  We are beyond lucky to have such talented and dedicated teachers who choose to come each day and teach our children.  A special 'thank you' goes to the Moretown PTO and many parent volunteers who showered our staff with food, plants, cards and treats this week!

Our spring Art and Music Show is planned for this coming Thursday, May 16th.  Our art show begins at 5pm and work will be on display in the hallways and cafeteria for families to view.  We are asking that students stay with their families until 5:50pm when they should gather with their teacher in their classroom prior to the 6pm start of the concert.

We really appreciate all of the Moretown families that turned up to vote on April 29th.  As you all know, the second budget was voted down by only 166 votes and the HUUSD School Board has now adopted a new budget to present to voters on May 30th.  Please mark your calendars now and plan to vote before the close of day on May 30th.

Our Lost and Found is still full of winter items and new things are added daily.  We will be looking to clean the Lost and Found out by Friday, May 17th.  Please encourage your student(s) to check the Lost and Found over the next week and ask that you take a peek while you're here for the Art Show and Music Concert on Thursday, May 16th.

Please read this week's bulletin in its entirety since there are many important updates about upcoming events.

We look forward to welcoming our students back on Monday, May 13th.

Ms. Kate

MES Spring Concert - Thursday, May 16 6pm
Spring is here, and that means it's time for our annual School Music Concert! The Moretown Elementary concert is on Thursday, May 16 and will start at 6pm. Students are asked to remain under the supervision of their parents until 5:50pm when they can meet their teacher in their classroomThe students have been working hard with Mrs. Adams and Mr. Hill to prepare their presentations and are excited to share them with you! The band, chorus, dance group  and all classroom grades will  be performing. The concert will run about an hour. We know that this is a busy time of the year. This is the only schoolwide music performance  and it is very important that students be present to support their classmates.

We look forward to sharing this evening with you!

From Mrs. Jeannie:

Greetings Students!

Thank you so much for all the nice notes for School Lunch Hero Day! I loved them all and I now know your favorite lunches are Pizza, Nachos and Breakfast for Lunch!

I wanted to let you know that I will not be your Lunch Lady next school year. I will miss seeing you all everyday, and I hope that I will see you around Moretown!

Take care of our school, our town, our planet and remember to recycle!

Love,

Mrs. Jeannie

Yearbooks:

Yearbooks were distributed this week if your child ordered one.  They came out great!  We have a few extras we ordered in case you would like to purchase one for your child and didn't get a chance to do so.

You can send in $18 cash to Brenda and let her know you'd like a yearbook sent home with your child.

Thanks!
