Moretown takes over Harwood

December 22, 2023

Here at Moretown we certainly know how to make lemonade out of lemons!  Our adventures continued today at Harwood Union with a showing of Inside Out in the auditorium.  After the movie, the National Honor Society assisted our students in dressing up their teachers in wacky outfits and then the Harwood Assembly Band performed.  It was a lovely day with our extended community embracing us and making sure that we head into vacation with joy and a lot of fun.

We want to extend a big 'thank you' to Kristen Rodgers, Kelly Hackett and the School Board for pulling together a breakfast for our faculty and staff as well as the Moretown PTO for an impressive lunch spread.  This week we have seen local businesses and surrounding schools show their support in a variety of ways.  I am proud to be a Moretown resident and a member of this school community.

We are all wondering what school will look like when we return from break.  Many of us are hard at work determining the needs of our building and working out plans to continue student learning in the new year.  Dr. Mike and I (with the help from former MES Principal Mandy Couturier) will be communicating plans for our student's return by Friday of next week.

We wish you all a relaxing and joy-filled break.

Ms. Kate
